See Maisie Williams' bloody goodbye to 'Game of Thrones'

Emmy-nominated actress Maisie Williams, who plays the defiant Arya Stark on HBO's "Game of Thrones", this weekend posted a photo of her bloodied sneakers to her 7.7 million followers on Instagram.

It's not much, but there may or may not be subtle hints to the photo she posted on the social media platform.

While many of Maisie's followers were busy analysing the image, others took to the comment section to congratulate her on a job well done. However, as Thrones fans know intimately at this point, it could equally suggest that Arya Stark might be one of the few survivors when the dust settles.

The final season Game of Thrones will consist of six episodes, rumoured to all be movie length. 'What a joy I've had.

Furthermore, by teasing she was the "last woman standing" in her Instagram post, could Maisie have accidentally confirmed Arya will end up on the Iron Throne following her defeat of her enemies? "Here's to the adventures to come #lastwomanstanding #barely #immasleepforthenextfouryears #justkiddingidontsleep".

Maisee Williams, the middle child who turned badass in Game of Thrones has definitely turned badass in real life too!

Another came up with theory that "she is going to survive the night king and become the queen".

Some suggested it was simply referring to the fact that Maisie is the last of the actresses to film her scenes.

Game of Thrones season 8 will return to HBO and Sky Atlantic in 2019.
