Hollywood producers speak out against Fox over…

"Family Guy" mastermind Seth MacFarlane is leading a growing chorus of writers and producers who have long relationships Fox but are now condemning the studio for continuing to back Fox News despite its coverage of the Trump administration's new immigration policy. "This bull**** is the opposite of what #ModernFamily stands for". This is not sitting well with some of those who work for the Fox TV network, which, like Fox News, is owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp.

Levitan followed the lead of MacFarlane, who, over the weekend, became outraged after Fox News host Tucker Carlson addressed the child-separation policy and told viewers: "If you're looking to understand what's actually happening in this country, always assume the opposite of whatever they're telling you on the big news stations".

'In other words, don't think critically, don't consult multiple news sources, and in general, don't use your brain, ' MacFarlane tweeted.

"Modern Family" Executive Producer Steve Levitan on Tuesday announced via Twitter he was cutting ties with Fox over news coverage.

Creator of the animated sitcom Family Guy, Seth MacFarlane, which is made by Fox, tweeted that he was "embarrassed to work for this company".

Apatow also tweeted that he believes that those in the entertainment industry could foster change by amplifying their criticisms, saying, "If EVERY Fox Star and show runner said this policy was evil and protested to the Murdoch family it would make a huge difference in this national debate". On Monday, Carlson even went so far as to say that Trump's critics "care more about foreigners than about their own people".

In the opening to her programme, Ms Ingraham said: "Since more illegal immigrants are rushing to the border, more kids are being separated from their parents and temporarily being housed in what are essentially summer camps". Fox stars and show runners should speak up!

Levitan added: "Fox Studio has been a wonderful home for most of my career - so many unbelievable people there who share the concerns about @Fox News but aren't in a position to speak out". You can see those tweets below. Some Trump supporters have described children being held in detention facilities as "child actors".

Soon after, Feig tweeted, " ...

Feig, who helmed the 2016 Melissa McCarthy comedy Spy, which was distributed by 20th Century Fox, tweeted that he "cannot condone the support their news division promotes toward the immoral and abusive policies and actions taken by this current administration toward immigrant children".

Disney and Comcast are now competing to purchase most of 21st Century Fox's assets, but under both proposed deals, Rupert Murdoch's family would retain ownership of Fox News and the Fox broadcast network.

Steven Levitan, the co-creator of sitcom Modern Family said he would no longer work with the company when the show comes to and end.

"I have made two films for 20th Century Fox and love the people in the movie and TV divisions". "For now, I will take some time to see where those people land, and at that point, make a decision about my future", he said in a statement.

On Fox News on Sunday, aggressively right-wing commentator Ann Coulter accused the migrant children of being actors.
