Seven injured as taxi runs into crowd in Moscow

The authority cited the driver as saying he had not driven into the crowd on goal.

The following is footage published on a Russian news station's Twitter account, showing the incident and then the driver attempting to flee the scene, but he was quickly apprehended.

The fans were reportedly from Mexico, who were in the city ahead of their opening match with Germany on Sunday, which is taking place in the Luzhniki stadium.

The driver in the crash on Saturday has been detained, police said. "He was shouting: "It wasn't me".
