Gal Gadot Debuts First Image of Her Wonder Woman 1984 Costume

Gal Gadot Debuts First Image of Her Wonder Woman 1984 Costume

While a previous photo of Diana was shared online last week, this is the first official photo of the Amazon princess in her full Wonder Woman costume in the sequel.

Not only does Gadot look stunning (as always), but she's here to let everybody know that she's back.

It's certainly a change from the costume she wore in the dark, colorless world of Zack Snyder's 2016 "Batman v Superman", where her character was first introduced.

Previously, Gadot and director Patty Jenkins put out two other first look teaser photos now that the sequel is actively filming. All of the new views from the set show off the 1980s aesthetic in a major way, though the fanny pack was more of a late 80s and early 90s accessory. While you could say that this is merely a matter of difference in color correction, if you look at untouched set photos from the original Wonder Woman, you'll be able to see a distinct difference in the color of the suit before any post-production touches were added. In the new movie, Gadot's Diana Prince will face off against the classic Wonder Woman villain Cheetah, played by Kristen Wiig. That said, Warner Bros did manage to put together a trailer for "Justice League" while that movie was still in principle photography back in 2016, though that film was further along by that point.

Directed by Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal, Wonder Woman 1984 is slated to hit theaters on November 1, 2019.
