America's Got Talent contestant Courtney Hadwin earns golden buzzer from Howie Mandel

Simon Cowell told her, "You were like this shy little thing when you first came out, and then you sing, and you're like a lion".

Courtney Hadwin will go straight to the live shows after her performance on Tuesday's episode of the talent show.

But once the music begins, Courtney sparks to life with her jerky dance moves and Steven Tyler-esque voice.

The judges were left stunned.

She even made no-nonsense judge Simon Cowell, who is her favorite, smile from ear-to-ear.

However Howie was so floored he said: 'The only thing I can do for you young lady...' as he dramatically launched an arm up and smashed the buzzer, while the other judges lost their proverbial. "Oh my gosh! You are not from this era".

However, it was Howie Mandel who was really impressed by the performance. Mandel says as he strikes the buzzer on the judges' desk. Mandel said, just before hitting the golden buzzer. "I've never seen anything like that", host Tyra Banks said of her performance.

She tweeted her thanks Tuesday night.

Courtney is no stranger to talent shows - she also competed in The Voice Kids in 2017 and was mentored by McFly and McBusted star Danny Jones.

This week her audition from America's Got Talent went on TV and the result was pretty incredible!

She first went viral when a video of her singing at her school lunchtime open mic session got loads of views on YouTube.
