Cavs Head to Conference Finals for Fourth Consecutive Year

In their Eastern Conference semi-final series with the Cleveland Cavaliers, one of the biggest decisions for the Toronto Raptors was who was going to guard LeBron James.

DeRozan, by his own admission a poor sleeper at the best of times, endured another "extremely long" night. Both Korver (6-of-8 from the field, 4-of-5 from long distance) and Smith (6-of-6, 3-of-3) were about as ideal as you could get.

But if James and the Cleveland Cavaliers eventually meet the Boston Celtics in the NBA's Eastern Conference finals, will "The King" have the same effect on Brad Stevens and Co.?

Unlike Game 6 against Indiana, Monday's Game 4 is a home contest for Cleveland, which should be in the Cavs' favor. Except to come out swinging and hope something connects.

Asked about Casey's job security before the game, Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue said any talk it might be in jeopardy was absurd.

The Cavs will go for the sweep against the Raptors on Monday night.

"He split the trap and went 100 miles an hour down the floor and lost our guy", Casey lamented. We're not giving in, we're not quitting.

There was a bounce-back but no happy ending.

For the Cavaliers, Saturday's victory extended their current SU win streak to four games overall.

No team has ever mounted a successful comeback from a 3-0 series deficit in the National Basketball Association playoffs, a reality that is not lost on the oddsmakers.

"We're going to enjoy it a little bit ... enjoy the rest over the next couple of days", James said. "But you choose to be a warrior, you choose to continue to fight". Cedi Osman outscored Kyle Lowry.

However, the Cavs traded Thomas to the Lakers on February 8, just over a month after he made his injury-delayed debut for the team.

Pushed to the max for seven games by IN in the first round, the Cavs took care of Toronto quickly. Instead it has found different ways to lose.

If the Celtics can hold off the upstart 76ers, they would set up a rematch heavily anticipated since last season, when the Cavs beat the Celtics 4-1 to advance to the NBA Finals.

Power forward Serge Ibaka has faded out of the starting lineup.

"They tried to show some pride in Game 3 then they quit again tonight".

Even Saturday Night Live contributed to the narrative that LeBron James is a one-man team, producing a skit this past weekend that displayed fictional Cavaliers' teammates saying things like: "LeBron throws us the ball, and we throw it right back".

Plus Toronto has yet to come out with all weapons firing for 48 minutes.

Although James racked up the points in a sweep over the Raptors, the 20-year-old can be proud of his efforts against the Cavs superstar. You could nearly slip a cob of corn in the open mouth of assistant coach Jim Sann. They won one game in overtime and won Game 3 on a last-second shot. But it's LeBron James we're talking about.

We have no idea if James can top what he's done the last 10 games, but we're certainly not ruling it out.
