Samsung Galaxy S10 to include 3D facial recognition camera

SquareTrade, an insurance company owned by Allstate that specializes in protecting electronics, performed rigorous drop testing on the all-glass Galaxy S9, Samsung's latest flagship phone.

That just now happens to be the case, as a trademark filing picked up by GalaxyClub shows Samsung has applied for a trademark in Colombia for the Galaxy Note 9 name. As a result, premium smartphones such as the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S are now likely to have three or four owners over the course of their life.

While it was pretty safe to assume that Samsung would release a Galaxy Note 9 - successor to the rather excellent Galaxy Note 8 - later this year, we couldn't be sure of the name until Samsung confirmed it itself. The South-Korean tech giant has previously rumored to do this with both the Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S9 but reportedly ran out of time. However, according to a teardown by TechInsights, the build cost of this year's Galaxy S9+ is $379 which is $36 more than how much it costed Samsung last year to build the S8+.

Moreover, the Galaxy Note lineup is set to boost the Samsung's camera standards from the impressive snappers on the already launched Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus.

Now, if we compare the Galaxy S9 Plus with the Galaxy Note 8, you'll be able to see that a number of Galaxy S9 Plus' components cost more than those in the Galaxy Note 8.

"Our recent best seller is the Galaxy A8, which is low-cost yet as high-performance as Galaxy S phones", another retailer said, adding, "The Galaxy A8, which comes with dual front cameras, is very popular with teenagers and those in their 20s taking a lot of selfies".
