Elizabeth Warren Insists She Isn't Running for President in 2020

Sen. Elizabeth Warren graciously declined request from a MA media outlet challenging her to take a DNA test in order to prove her Native American heritage. Elizabeth Warren of MA says she has no intention of running for president in 2020, but she also is leaving herself room to reconsider.

Meanwhile, Warren brushed aside calls that she get a DNA test to resolve questions about her Native American heritage.

Warren said her parents were born in Oklahoma and that her father's family was concerned about his relationship with Warren's mother, who was part Native American.

NBC "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd asked Warren to respond to the editorial just two days after she defended her ancestry in a regional television news program interview.

Appearing unbothered, Warren went on to share the tale about her lineage once more.

"Let me tell you the story of my family".

Last week, Warren donated campaign funds to every single state Democratic Party and the DNC, in a move that's widely seen as raising her national profile in preparation for a potential presidential run in 2020.

"All the senator needs to do is spit into a tube, wait a few weeks and get her answer", the paper said.

Later on Sunday, Warren repeated her defense nearly verbatim when Berkshire Eagle editorial and the subject of her ancestry were again brought up during on interview on Fox News Sunday. "I am running for the United States Senate".

Despite winning the 2012 election, Warren has continued to address questions raised about her heritage in 2018.

When Todd asked her why she is against knowing the results for sure, Warren replied: 'I do know.

"I know there's a lot of anxiety particularly on the Democratic side about how we are going to deal with Donald Trump in 2020", she added.

"I think that our trade deals have been negotiated for a very, very long time now to benefit large, multinational corporations, not to benefit the American worker", she said. She wanted to be elected to another term as Senator and both her Republican opponent and the NY media were asking if she would finish her term. We need to bring some attention to it and we need to put some resources on it. Native women are subjected to sexual violence at rates much higher than any other group in our country.

"It's a part of who I am and no one's ever gonna take that away", she said.
