Smith, 28, allegedly drank two bottles of tequila, bit his fiancee on her wrists and beat her up, according to 911 dispatcher audio recorded Saturday.

The incident in question was reportedly Saturday evening, and the victim identified Smith as the suspect.

The Raiders on Monday released Smith, whose brushes with the law have been frequent and well-documented, derailing a promising career.

A warrant was put out for Smith's arrest and, on Tuesday, San Francisco police charged him with domestic violence and assault, among other misdemeanors. Police said Smith fled his San Francisco home before officers arrived. "He complied. They went and got him".

Smith faces misdemeanor charges of willful infliction of corporal injury, assault with force likely to produce great bodily harm, false imprisonment and vandalism, police said.

I wish the best for Aldon. But the off-field issues started mounting the following season when he missed five games to undergo treatment at an inpatient facility following a DUI arrest. "I'm anxious for his safety", an insider told TMZ Sports. She told TMZ.com that her family brought Smith to rehab. "I cannot comment on the altercation but I can tell you I love him and so happy he turned to my family who considers him family and hopefully he gets the help he truly needs". But he hasn't played since 2015, when the National Football League levied a one-year suspension on him with detailed requirements to achieve reinstatement.

Former Raiders coach Jack Del Rio took to Twitter on Monday, chiding the NFL's rules limiting or eliminating team contact with players serving suspensions.
