Nintendo Switch activity logs reset on its one-year anniversary

Some Nintendo Switch owners' play activity information is displaying incorrectly.

Following those reports, Nintendo released a tweet on March 2 that confirmed the play time feature was indeed experiencing problems while saying that it was aware of the issue and hoped to have more info in the near future. Luckily, Nintendo of America has stated that the data is not actually being deleted, it is just being displayed incorrectly.

Sometime after that, Nintendo fan magazine Nintendo Force said that the playtime only disappears for ten days, before it comes back on day 11. Usually companies tend to upgrade the hardware on their consoles on their new consoles, but it looks like Nintendo will be putting their focus into other aspects of the Switch for this year instead.

June 2017 - To kick off the summer, Nintendo released ARMS, a unique fighting game starring an eclectic roster of characters overflowing with personality.

The Nintendo Switch is already celebrating its first anniversary in parts of the world, but some Switch owners are discovering an unpleasant surprise on the console's birthday.

Nintendo users are finding that their logged playtime data from one year ago, when the console launched, is gone.

Other users point out that the profile page on the Switch only shows the "last played" message for the first 10 days after starting a game. Therefore, once these one-year-old games hit the 376-day mark, they should revert to showing the number of hours the game has been played - at least, in theory.

No further updates have been provided at the time of writing.

It is a bit unfortunate as activity logs like that can be something of a bragging right, where there are some gamers who have spent hundreds of hours over the course of several years on their favorite game. You can this in the screenshot below.
