Acer Chromebook 11 - Great for Content Consumption, Productivity, Fun

While only a few days are left for the CES 2018 to kick-off, it seems Acer has booked an exclusive event for introducing an upgraded Chromebook 11.

"The 1366×768 11.6" screen is passable, with muted colors, but stellar viewing angles.

There are two USB Type-C ports as well present in the device.

Both the HP Chromebook 11 G6 and 14 G5 can be configured with up to 8GB RAM and 64GB eMMC storage, sporting modest HD screen resolution with no touch functionality by default. Like all newly released Chromebooks, the Acer CB311 will come with Android Apps out of the box so you can get your Candy Crush on with no delay. It's great to see that Acer has given us a USB-C port on each side, so no matter where the outlet is, you can charge from either port.

The company further explains, "The new Acer Chromebook 11 device includes two USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 1 ports, which can be used to charge the device as well as other products, transfer data quickly and connect to an HD display". The 2GB RAM model will have a 16GB storage, while the 4GB variant bears a 32GB storage.

The Acer Chromebook 11 will be available in the United Kingdom and Europe from March. The Chromebook is pretty slim at 0.71 inches and weighs 2.43 pounds. To be precise, a touch supporting display bearing CB311-8HT model, and another non-touch version which carries the model number CB311-8. It fully supports Google Play and consumers will have access to Android apps from there. "Chromebooks are widely known as a fast, easy and secure way to work and play both online and offline". The laptop is priced at $249 around ₹15,700 for the base model and we are available in stores starting March.

HP has not revealed pricing for either device, but that may be available next week at CES 2018 where the devices will be on display.

Still, given most people look to Chrome OS for its balance of capabilities and affordability, we suspect more will pick the new Acer than cough up around four times the amount for the Pixelbook. The Chromebook 11 starts at just $249, but features fairly low-end specs to match.
