Bye! Meghan Markle Deletes All Social Media Accounts

The soon-to-be Mrs. Prince Harry officially shut down her social media accounts much to the dismay of rabid royal fans.

But Meghan Markle didn't start life as a royal.

Meghan Markle made her first public appearance of 2018 joined by Prince Harry for a visit to the Reprezent 107.3FM radio station in Pechkam, England.

"Ms. Markle is grateful to everyone who has followed her social media accounts over the years", the palace statement said. "However, as she has not used them for some time she has taken the decision to close them". When she was a budding actress, Meghan was an avid social media user, and even had her own lifestyle website called The Tig. Instead, updates about their lives and careers are posted on one set of accounts, run by Kensington Palace. It was the couple's second official event together since they announced their engagement in November.

They also touched on their upcoming wedding at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, just outside London, on 19 May, with the bride-to-be admitting she was "so excited" for the nuptials.

Markle, a Los Angeles native, also intends to become a United Kingdom citizen, a process which will take several years. She would use Instagram to post about her work on the TV show "Suits", and to share adorable pictures of her two rescue dogs. Last year, she also ended her partnership with Canadian department store Reitman's for a fashion line.
