Conte discusses Chelsea's draw with Arsenal and Morata's misses

It's not been possible to write off Arsenal's prospects so early under the manager.

The new season appeared to be shaping up into a two-horse race between the Manchester clubs, but as Manchester United started to stutter in the autumn, Manchester City just kept on going, and an 18-match winning streak means they have nearly wrapped up the 2017/18 title already.

Arsenal were on the end of another controversial penalty decision, this time from referee Anthony Taylor, and with the governing body already requesting that he explain his comments in relation to that fixture, he could face more time away from the touchline.

However, that ban could yet be extended if the FA decide to extend the charge in the wake of his comments both before and after Wednesday's 2-2 draw against Chelsea.

Before the game against Chelsea Wenger said: "What is frustrating for me is that it happened many times this season - at Stoke, at Watford, at Manchester City, at West Brom. We got again a farcical decision on the penalty but we knew that as well before so we had to deal with that".

Wenger was vexed by north London rival Tottenham winning 2-0 at Swansea the previous night to go a point ahead of Arsenal with a game in hand.

Arsene Wenger, Manager of Arsenal looks on prior to kick off during the Barclays Premier League match between Swansea City and Arsenal at Liberty Stadium on March 16, 2013 in Swansea, Wales.

Wenger was furious with referee Mike Dean, who had awarded West Brom a late penalty at the Hawthorns for a handball by Calum Chambers.

Speaking after the game Wenger said: "It was a great football game".
