Boy, 5, Calls 911 On The Grinch

A 5-year-old MS boy was anxious the Grinch was going to steal Christmas after he watched one too many videos.

The Grinch was still in his Santa costume when police tracked him down and put him in a holding cell with the help of honorary junior officer TyLon.

On Saturday, TyLon called 911 to report the Grinch's crimes to local police, alleging that the creature was attempting to steal presents from children before Christmas. She went to TyLon's house to assure him that his Christmas was safe from harm.

Officer Develle told The Clarion Ledger that Dr. Seuss's How The Grinch Stole Christmas has a special place in her heart as well, since she's spent a lifetime being compared to Cindy Lou Who. "Every Christmas morning, my dad wears these Grinch trousers", she said with a smile on Sunday.

"So what are you going to do if he tries to steal your Christmas?" The operator, Officer Lauren Develle, visited Pittman's home after the call. The video of the endearing interaction between the little boy and Officer Develle quickly went viral.

To the real-life Grinch: We're sure the family will still have a Merry Christmas.

Following the call, the Byram Police Department was "on the lookout" for the Grinch and ended up arresting the Christmas "thief". "You have saved the day". They showed up with a Grinch and let Tylon arrest him.
