Handy new Facebook feature lets you mute annoying friends

Social Media giant Facebook has launched a new "Snooze Button", the tool lets you mute a unwanted digital content for 30 days so you can temporarily purge their updates from your News Feed.

You might not want to go quite as far as unfriending someone - maybe you're just sick of them posting movie spoilers, or you're exhausted of hearing them go on about their team's latest success - so Facebook has introduced a new Snooze option.

If you do not want to unfollow or block updates from the person permanently, you can use mute update option.

Pages or Groups will surely get the advantage after the rollout of this feature. If you do not see this now, wait for few more days.

'Seeing too many photos of your uncle's new cat? "It turns out, you're not alone", Facebook said in a post.

"As News Feed evolves, we'll continue to provide easy-to-use tools to give you the most personalized experience possible every time you visit Facebook".

Facebook believes this will give users "more say over what they see in News Feed", according to a blog post.

Facebook making sure that you are aware about the people you snoozed will notify you before the Snooze period is about to end and the setting can also be reserved at any time. He is also fanatical about football which makes it all the more unusual that he should support Stockport County.

They've also added a tool called Take A Break, which functions similarly to the Snooze tool, but is created to help users control how much or how little they see of an ex-partner's Facebook content.
