Body of United States woman who vanished after Tinder date found

After weeks of searching, investigators believe they've found the body of missing Nebraska woman Sydney Loofe, 24.

Loofe was officially reported missing on November 16, when she failed to show up for her cashier job at home improvement store Menards in Lincoln.

Loofe's date, 23-year-old Bailey Boswell, admits she was with Loofe in the hours before she went missing.

Randy Thysse, special agent in charge of the Omaha division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, said it was a "collaborative effort" that included a "digital footprint" that led to the discovery of Loofe's body in a rural part of Clay County, which is southwest of Lincoln toward central Nebraska.

"We do believe there is evidence of foul play".

Loofe's death comes after multiple agencies, including the F.B.I., assisted in the search.

In an interview with the Neligh News and Leader Monday night, George Loofe expressed gratitude to those who prayed for their daughter, posted flyers, spread word on social media and "everyone that had anything to do with the search for Sydney".

"It's with heavy hearts that we share this most recent update with you all.May God grant eternal rest unto thee".

"We are indeed conducting a very thorough investigation to ensure we can provide an accurate account of what happened to Sydney", FBI Special Agent in Charge Randy Thysse said at a news conference Tuesday. The couple had lived in close-by Wilber, yet left Nebraska after Loofe vanished, as indicated by the daily paper.

Ms Loofe had posted a Snapchat image before the meeting with an emoji and caption: "Ready for my date".

He said the two are persons of interest in the case.

After her disappearance, her date was arrested, but in an unrelated drug charge.

Boswell and Trail posted a video to social media in which they said they were innocent and had been "slammed and crucified" in the newspapers.

"She was a good friend to her friends, and people were nice to her because she was nice to them", she said. This media house does not correct any spelling or grammatical error within press releases and commentaries. Both said they had warrants out for their arrest but that they were being unfairly targeted by police. Sydney's cell phone last pinged there.

Bliemester described the pair as "two of the last people with Sydney prior to her disappearance". They claimed to be cooperating with authorities but also described themselves as "on the run". It had gone so well, she said, that they had talked about another outing to a nearby casino.

But prior to their arrests, Trail was posting several weird videos online. "She was planning on coming home that night".
