Rumor: iPhone SE 2 Launch Date Revealed

When Apple launched the current iPhone SE in 2016, it was a surprise hit.

According to reports from Economic Daily News, an updated version of the iPhone SE will be assembled in India, where some of the current SE stock is now made. They are still clinging to the iPhone SE but that will soon turn 2-years old – right on time for an upgrade? Now, it looks like we can expect an iPhone SE 2 in the not too distant future.

The iPhone SE 2 would likely give Apple a boost as sales of its iPhone X and iPhone 8 models slow down later in 2018.

The iPhone SE was launched with an intention of being a budget smartphone offering from Apple. Earlier reports claimed that the iPhone SE sequel will start shipping in Q1 2018 and will be manufactured by Wistron, which is the same company that assembles the iPhone SE in India. The demand for any new iPhone - but especially one more affordable and accessible to a large amount of people - will no doubt be high, which necessitates this expansion.

Though we have an estimated time frame for the launch of the iPhone SE 2, we need to mention that this is not the first time that we are getting to know information about the iPhone SE successor.

The iPhone SE 2 is expected to stick with a 4-inch display. Moreover, the SE also supports 4K video playback, which was not available on the iPhone 5S.

Whatever you think of the iPhone X, there's no debating that it's the most drastic evolution that Apple's smartphone line has ever seen.
