In addition to its prodigious output, the ZR1 also offers two different aerodynamic packages including a high wing variant that generates 950 pounds of downforce.

Earning it that title is a new V8 engine for the auto that weighs in a 6.2 litres and spits out 755hp and a hefty 715 lb-ft of torque, all of which helps propel the 2019 ZR1 to over 201mph according to Chevy. There's also direct injection and port injection for the first time, with traditional overhead valve push-rod cam gear, with two valves per cylinder.

"Its unprecedented performance puts all other global supercars on notice that the ZR1 is back", he added.

Chevrolet returned the Corvette ZR1 to the lineup for 2009. The other three include the 1990 Corvette ZR-1, the 2009 Corvette ZR1, and this upcoming 2019 model.

If you're after the highest top speed possible, you will have to go with the Low Wing configuration as that will enable the ZR1 reach more than 210mph.

Chevrolet has not yet announced acceleration figures for the 2019 ZR1 yet.

This may not be the first Corvette ZR1, but it is the first to be offered with an automatic transmission.

The ZTK package, incidentally, adds a front splitter and carbon fiber end caps and gives the magnetic ride control system a track tuning.

An all-new front fascia is created to channel air for propulsion-system and drivetrain cooling, with four new radiators bringing the heat-exchanger total to 13.

The engine sits underneath what Chevrolet calls a "halo hood" which features a carbon fibre two-piece bonnet bulge.

The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 isn't just the most powerful Corvette yet, but the most powerful General Motors vehicle ever made.

To please both worlds, the company with the bowtie emblem will sell the 2018 Corvette ZR1 with a choice between a seven-speed manual (with active rev match) and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

But it's the aero above the chassis that Chevrolet says it what makes the ZR1 a track beast.

The basic setup of the ZR1 has a standard low wing, which helps deliver the car's highest top speed of 210 miles per hour, while still generating 70-percent more downforce than the base aero package on the Z06.

Debuted in a stunning Sebring Orange paint scheme, the 2019 Corvette ZR1 also features standard leather-trimmed seats with sueded microfiber inserts optional.

It's good to be the King.
