How Razer Is Making the Smartphone That Gamers Want

In any case, Razer is yet to make an official statement about its new smartphone and the online listing can not be fully trusted. Nope, that's Razr, without the "e".

Popular gaming hardware brand Razer is all set to enter the smartphone industry with the upcoming Razer Phone. The Razer Phone 64GB Black comes with 64 GB of storage which is obvious from the name but other than that the Razer Phone specifications reveal that the phone will also have a 120 Hz display which is impressive for a smartphone. A mobile carrier in the United Kingdom has put up the product page ahead of the actual announcement.

The Razer will sport a 5.72-inch IGZO ( indium gallium zinc oxide) display screen with 2560 x 1440 pixels as screen resolution.

The smartphone is also said to come with Dolby Atmos audio technology.

A reddit user (/u/The_King_of_Okay) dug up two links pointing to Razer becoming an official partner with 3G United Kingdom and Three as a whole (3G is, confusingly, a subsidiary of Three), indicating that Razer is working hard to expand its smartphone brand. Backing the Razer phone is a 4,000mAh battery that offers Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0. The official unveiling is expected tomorrow on November 1st. We previously thought the phone would have a single rear-facing camera, but it now seems it'll include a dual-camera system with a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 13-megapixel zoom sensor.

The phone was also leaked in a benchmark listing confirming Quad HD display, Snapdragon 835 and 7 MP front camera. It will also feature 4G LTE connectivity and HD voice capabilities, if they're supported by the carrier.

Going by the listing spotted by Slashleak, the smartphone will come with a design similar to that of the Nextbit Robin. Razer acquired Nextbit this year and could be using it's resources for the smartphone.
