Three die in horrific skydive in Australia

Three skydivers have died after they were involved in a suspected mid-air collision in Australia.

Paramedics were called to Alexandra Drive, Mission Beach, shortly after 3pm.

The investigation will continue into how an experienced instructor and two other tandem skydivers died in the horror accident in north Queensland.

The two others were discovered soon afterwards, where they had become entangled in a nearby tree.

"One of the deceased, a highly experienced instructor who had completed thousands of jumps, was completing a solo jump".

Two men in their thirties and a woman in her forties were pronounced dead at the scene.

There are believed to be two companies offering skydiving activities in Mission Beach, which is a 14km stretch of sand with four villages based along it.
